Dear St Thomas Aquinas Community,

As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, it is a moment for reflection and gratitude. This year has been filled with learning, growth, and achievements, and I want to take this opportunity to thank some remarkable individuals who have contributed significantly to our school.

I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rachael Hind, our dedicated librarian. Rachael has been an invaluable asset to our school, fostering a love for reading and learning among our students. We wish her all the best as she embarks on a new journey at St Jude’s next year.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Meaghan Younger, our Religious Education Coordinator. Meaghan’s leadership and commitment to the formation of our students in faith have been truly inspiring. We wish her success and fulfillment as she transitions to SFX School next year.

A special mention goes to Matilda Kelly, our new graduate teacher. Matilda’s enthusiasm and fresh perspectives have enriched our classrooms this year. We wish her all the best as she moves on to St Monica’s in Evatt next year.

I am pleased to announce that Megan Thomas has been appointed Religious Educator Coordinator for 2025. We congratulate Megan on this promotion to the leadership team of the school.

I must also acknowledge the extraordinary work of my Assistant Principal, Carmen Myles. Carmen's unwavering dedication and exceptional capacity in her role have greatly benefited both our staff and students. Her leadership has been a guiding light for us all, and I am immensely grateful for her commitment to St Thomas Aquinas.

All staff have given so much to the children in our care this year.  I am proud to have been associated with such a fine and hard-working team of professionals. Lee Black and Steph Cooper keep the Office machine well oiled with competence, care and a lot of love and patience. Thank you one and all.

Lastly, I want to thank Peter Collins, our Curriculum Coordinator and Meaghan Younger for their outstanding commitment to the Archdiocese and to STA this year. Peter’s hard work and insightful counsel have resulted in exemplary outcomes for our school, and I deeply appreciate the dedication to enhancing our students’ educational experiences. Meaghan has set a sound platform for incoming REC, Megan Thomas in 2025 – and we appreciate all that she has achieved this year.

As I close this chapter and look forward to the next, I wish everyone a restful and joyful holiday Christmas with family and loved ones. Thank you for your support and partnership throughout the year.
