Socialisation

Catholic Early Learning Centres Curriculum

Socialisation

1. Play is a vital part of a child’s life, and provides a rich, dynamic learning experience as children interact with one another.

2. Through blocks of play time children develop social skills such as communicating, caring, negotiating, co-operating and sharing.  They make meaning of their world by exploring a range of community and family roles.

3. Through role play the teacher provides children with opportunities to engage with the perspectives of others as they negotiate roles and solve problems.
